The Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association has announced Eddie Redmayne and Benedict Cumberbatch as patrons, and Taron Egerton as an ambassador.

Redmayne and Cumberbatch have been appointed to the role in recognition of their work to create awareness of MND, and of the MND Association, on a global scale, while Egerton's appointment is in recognition of his family link to MND, and his willingness to use his 'ever-increasing profile to create opportunities that benefit the MND Association'.
